Many dog breeds were developed to serve specific purposes, like hunting fowl or herding or protecting livestock.

 

While many of our pet dogs are no longer hunting companions who flush out game or are in charge of herding sheep, they still have innate hunting, herding or guarding instincts hardwired into their genetic makeup, and some dogs find it difficult to adjust to our modern lives. After all, our human world is fast-paced and ever involving. Our streets are chaotic, and our homes are full of hustle and bustle. Even us humans can find everyday life a little bit stressful and we need healthy skills to help us be at our best. 

 

As your in-home dog trainer, my goal is help you understand your dog and their hardwired needs, why they do what they do, and how they communicate with us and the world around them. I will actively listen to your concerns and your training goals, and I will tailor a plan that is specific to your unique situation. During our time together, I will provide you with one-on-one instruction on how to implement humane training methods to teach your dog how to be obedient, resilient, confident and calm as they navigate our human world.
